If we were talking money, if I said, it takes so long for a stock, metal, or company to reach a trend , for how long would time have to elapse to see a reasonable trend, 3,6,9, or 12 months. Only expert advice please,give me your experience in business.

You might look up "Capital asset pricing model" to get a better handle on this. The volatility makes trends less apparent, so you would need a longer time to identify it.
The whole activity is much more involved than just looking at a stock chart, although it doesn’t stop the majority of folks from feeling like they can do it.
My expert opinion is that you should be really trying to understand if your company is creating value and how competitive it is with respect to other firms in the industry as well as possible substitute providers.
