Does anyone know anything about Consumer Installment Credit to Personal Income Ratio?

For my first project in Economics AP i need to do a research project on this ratio. I need a visual chart of recent trends, i need to provide a brief economic prediction for the ratio, and i need to know why someone would want to know about the ratio.

Well as far as lenders are concerned debt to income should never exceed 50%.
