March 8 (Bloomberg) — Author Julia Flynn Siler talks with Bloomberg’s Mark Crumpton about the state of the U.S. wine industry and the real-estate market in Napa Valley, California.
Siler also discusses her book “The House of Mondavi: The Rise and Fall of an American Wine Dynasty,” and consumer trends in wine purchases. 2010 may be a vintage year for foreclosures in Napa Valley as the wine industry is squeezed by falling land values and a consumer shift to cheaper brands.
