I’m doing an ISU on the future trends of the automotive industry

anyone have any info or good links on recent or future trends

L.E.D Taillights and Projector Headlights, which differ from the halogen bulbs still used in most lower end cars.

Both are brighter and use less energy.

    In the immediate future, we’re going to see a restructuring of the American auto industry in order to stay afloat in a much more competitive world market.
    In the near future, I believe we will see 24 volt systems and much more multiplexing – this will eliminate more than 3/4 of the wiring present in today’s cars. The vehicles will be smaller, lighter and much more fuel efficient.
    In the more distant future, I believe the internal combustion engine will go the way of the 8 track tape and we’ll see fuel cells, electric vehicles and perhaps a yet undiscovered energy source or propulsion system for our vehicles.
