Think about Alexander the Great. He was Macidonian but his father sent him to Greece to study. Afterwards when he became a great warrior and traveled lands he spread the Greek culture. Therefore the many great philosphers of the Helenistic time were not ethnically Greek but they were influenced by the Greek culture.
sorry for the misspelled words and good luck
