Question about trends (google.com/trends)?

I’ve been looking at trends on google for the past few months on and off. I just found it very interesting after looking today, and am wondering if this DOES translate into REAL WORLD support for a favorite candidate of mine?

Isn’t it odd, that the news reference volume drops for said candidate, yet the search volume increases, even beyond ANYONE on the field that is considered a "front runner"?

*** The question you MUST answer as part of your explanation, is who is ahead over all the rest? ***

Hells ya America!

(you can try putting in any of the other declared candidates, and I swear, the results will be the same). 3rd most actively searching city… Washington DC. I don’t care what party you are for, even if he only influences the winner, he has done his job, and you will benefit. I have not yet begun to fight! Sincerely, have a good weekend folks.

You are right, but keep in mind, this is the early point in the election. A candidate’s number of Google searches probably is a good indicator of name recognition, not support. Although with 20+ candidates and no primaries in the near future, name recognition is probably enough at this point to get a candidate to the next level of the election.

Once 75% of the group has dropped out, we will all know the names of the ones in the race, and then they had better have more than a recognizable name in order to get into the White House.
