What are the current trends in the food industry?

I would like to know the current trends influencing the food industry and how these trends might affect food technology in supermarkets. It’s urgent, please

Transgenic foods-genetically modified for resistance to organisms or insect pests.

Food with artifically enhanced nutritional value being created (functional food-’nutraceuticals’, like a cross between food and dietary supplement/additive).

New food preservation technologies (freezing food for transport is good but causes some deterioration or degradation and vastly adds to the cost) so we need fresher, more natural foods that are less processed. New preservative methods such as ionizing radiation treatment,
high hydrostatic pressure treatment and high voltage electric field pulses are being tested.
