For my marketing job, sometimes work i at my home office, purchasing material for trends, is this deductable?

Are any office supplies or "entertainment" purchases made (movies, magazines, internet, etc) tax deductable? Most of these items are related to becoming for informed for work.

Just for the space you use. If you have a 5 room house you can deduct 1/5 of the house expenses for business purposes. No…The office supplies, etc., are a business expense.

Yes they are tax deductable you might have to assign some of them for education purposes. You CPA should know their classification and should be able to help you doing exactly that.

Employee business expenses are taken as a miscellaneous itemized deduction, so…..

    1. You must itemize in order to claim the deduction, and

    2. Miscellaneous itemized deductions are limited to the amount above 2% of your adjusted gross income.
