Dynamic banners – ads that can be updated on the fly in real-time and customized based on the content they are reading or where they are or who they are. Eg. Show a travel ad to fly to Atlanta from NY based on the fact that they are looking at hotels in Atlanta and that their IP address is from NY

Remarketing – based on actions/inactions they take on an advertisers site, serve an ad that is appropriate. Eg. User goes to Amazon.com and begins to order mystery books but decides to abandon. Later an amazon ad can be shown to user promoting other mystery novels with a discount.

ROI analysis – clients are really pushing to figure out how much $ online generates in revenue compared to offline channels
